Rinse and repeat until it's low enough to snap into that corner. I already enabled terrain collision and raised structure limits. Other people on my server are having the same issue. Now place the foundation next to the column and it will snap to the column height since that is the only structure available to snap to. I can’t mine it and can walk straight into it.
